Glen Fitzjerrell is the President and founder of Mission: USA.

Glen has 25 years of frontline ministry experience and has done pioneering work in both gang outreach and prison aftercare ministry. His work has been profiled on NPR’s "This American Life," Moody Radio, and NBC news.

Glen is originally from Houston, Texas, where he began his ministry career in the nation’s top juvenile correctional facility. He and Jane have been married since 1991.

Jed Brewer serves as director of Mission:USA Productions. In this role, Jed crafts print, film, and audio media to help communicate the Gospel to men and women coming out of addiction and incarceration. In addition, Jed oversees our microfinance giving program, BridgeBox.

Jed also supervises and designs our Bridge service, including writing original music, and designing media appropriate for those attending the service.

Jed is originally from Miami, FL and has worked extensively in the media and technology sectors. He and Hallie have been married since 2010.

Matt King’s primary focus is equipping young people in ministry with Mission: USA know-how. As a part of this, Matt writes a Question-and-Answer blog, TheBridgeChicago on Tumblr, and also hosts and produces a weekly podcast called "Say That!" where Mission:USA staff answer listeners' questions about matters of faith and God.

In addition, Matt is responsible for development efforts for the organization, and works to evangelize potential donors about our microfinance giving program, BridgeBox.

Matt is originally from Oak Ridge, Tennessee. He came to Christ through the ministry of Young Life, and has significant experience as a youth minister with his home church (Christ Community Church).

Peter Lawson serves as Director of Outreach for Mission:USA. In this role, Peter oversees our Cook County Jail ministry and street-level outreach, creating innovative new strategies for ministry behind bars.

Peter also serves as the head of our Deacons Division program, which offers part-time work with Mission:USA for men and women who are products of the ministry. As part of this, Peter is our primary contact person for people in need of jobs and other resources to help make positive changes in their lives.

Peter is originally from Wheaton, Illinois and holds a Master’s Degree in Double Bass Performance. He and Tasha have been married since 2010.

Sarah Nelson is our Women’s Ministry Coordinator. She organizes our women’s outreaches, partnerships, and volunteers.

Sarah assists with the women in our weekly Bridge program by providing spiritual care and helping connect women in need of jobs, housing, and other social services, as they make positive changes in their lives. In addition, she helps run The Bridge program by leading worship, preaching, coordinating host teams, and supporting the staff team.

She also manages our women’s jail ministry outreach and programming. There she's able to raise awareness about sex trafficking and support those who have experienced exploitation. She also manages our rehabilitation facility craft outreaches to invite women to The Bridge.

Sarah moved here from Toronto, Canada where she worked at an anti sex-trafficking nonprofit for 3 years. She's passionate about creating community and surrounding ourselves with healthy relationships, to foster healing, transformation, and growth. She and her husband Jovan have been married since 2023.

Jane Fitzjerrell serves as our Program Development Coordinator. She initiates Bridge partnerships with churches, Host Teams, and jail and aftercare organizations.

In addition, Jane leads our Bridge children’s program and is a part of our Ladies ministry, Hope and a Future.

Jane began her ministry career in Lansing, Michigan where she worked with high school students. She and Glen have been married since 1991.

Hallie Brewer works with our Bridge program as Host Team Coordinator. In this role, she trains and directs the efforts of volunteer host teams each week at our Bridge service.

Hallie also serves with our Ladies' ministry, Hope and a Future.

Hallie is originally from suburban Chicago, and has, through her service in the United States Army, called Germany, Wisconsin, and Iraq home. She and Jed have been married since 2010.

Jon Ross serves as Director of Training for Mission:USA. Jon equips churches and individual Christians to develop their own outreaches, based on the principles that we use every day in our own inner-city ministries.

Jon brings deep experience in addiction recovery, and will be applying that expertise as he supports our weekly Bridge program. In addition to providing spiritual care, he’ll be working with our partners to help individuals in need of jobs, housing, and other social services, as they make positive changes in their lives.

Jon is from the Chicago area, and he’s a graduate of our Bridge Internship program. He also studied Human Services/Social Work at Moody Bible Institute. He and Renee have been married since 2018.

Grace Andersen is our Women’s Ministry Coordinator. She organizes our women’s outreaches, partnerships, and volunteers. Grace assists with the women in our weekly Bridge program, and in addition to providing spiritual care, she’ll be helping women in need of jobs, housing, and other social services, as they make positive changes in their lives.

She also manages the women in our Deacon’s Division, who have come up through the Bridge Program and help us run the Bridge. And Grace will be re-opening our women’s jail ministry. Grace loves working with children and will be developing new ways to support families, single parents, and children of incarcerated parents.

Grace is from Salt Lake City, Utah, and is a graduate of our Bridge Internship program. She also has a degree in Psychology, with minors in Sociology and Urban Studies from Wheaton College. She and Mark have been married since 2016.
